Jarrett established Bendigo Partners in 2008, seeking to fill the need for hands-on operational know-how in the financial services market place. Jarrett has run both retail and institutional businesses, both in brokerage and banking, online and off. He has lived and worked in Tokyo, Hong Kong, London and New York. Jarrett was co-founder and CEO of TIR Securities, a global institutional stock broker, which was subsequently sold to E*TRADE Financial. As E*TRADE President and Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for building the premier online financial services franchise and delivering record customer growth and earnings. Jarrett was acting CEO of E*TRADE Financial from November 2007 until leaving in March of 2008, steering the company and its customers through the beginnings of the financial crisis and laying the foundation for E*TRADE’s recovery.
Jarrett currently sits on the Boards of The Barton Group, Investment Technology Group - ITG (where he was interim CEO from August 2007 through January 2008), and Wisdom Tree Investments. Away from business, Jarrett is on the board of The Baryshnikov Arts Center (Treasurer), The Jazz Foundation of America (President), and WFUV Radio.
Past Board seats have included Archipelago (US ECN), E*TRADE Group, E*TRADE Australia, E*TRADE Korea, IL&FS Investsmart (Indian broker), Kapitall (US Millennial focused broker), SBI Securities (Japanese broker), Strike (US ECN), and TIR Securities.
